Cozy Earth Bamboo Sheets Review With Photos

For me, the most crucial aspect of surviving summer in an old home with iffy insulation and no central air hookup was developing a good sleep strategy for sweltering nights. With a husband who sleeps hot year-round and a 4-year-old son who dozes off in his own bed but wakes up in mine, I've gotten scrappy. Some might say desperate. Aside from spending an absurd amount of time researching the best fan, I became a devout seeker of temperature-regulating bedding in all its forms. Need a suggestion for a cooling mattress topper that will transform a brick into an ergonomic cloud? I found one. A comforter that eliminates night sweats? It exists. My favorite, though — and Oprah would back me on this — is a bamboo sheet set that feels so silky and airy, you'll find your other sheet sets collecting dust. This Cozy Earth Bamboo Sheet Set ($295, originally $369, for queen size) is a sensory delight you'll look forward to slipping into every night.

First off, these sheets are unbelievably soft. They have a silky sheen and a smooth, cozy, and feather-light feel all at once. They're made from 100 percent premium viscose from bamboo fabric, which is a naturally breathable and moisture-wicking material, and you can feel the difference. I've slept in crisp cotton percale sheets from luxury bedding brands that have certainly felt cool but lack the buttery softness of these sheets. They almost feel like a synthetic material, but without the heat-trapping, sweat-inducing qualities of those fabrics.

And while I have a set of linen sheets that also work wonders for temperature regulation, I had to break them in before I could enjoy their softness, and they have to be laundered with care. I wash my linen set on a gentle cycle, tumble dry them on a low heat setting, and even began using a delicates detergent. These bamboo sheets, on the other hand, can be washed on a regular cycle with regular detergent.

Between our mattress and a generously sized mattress topper, wrestling on tight-fitting sheets can be a nightmare, but we haven't had an issue with these. They can accommodate a deep-pocket mattress up to 20 inches thick, which has made our weekly sheet-washing ritual so much less of a chore.

It also comes with a chic white canvas tote with leather straps and brass hardware that's great for traveling or running errands.

These sheets come in a range of soft colors, which makes it easy to find a shade you're drawn to. I opted for Driftwood, a pretty taupe color that I love. I tend to stay away from white sheets because of how easily they stain, and while this taupe shade hides dinginess, the material also seems to keep light soils on the surface instead of absorbing them like my cotton and linen sheets do (droolers, beware!). They disappear when I wash them, but it's something I notice in between washes.

While the fabric hasn't pilled or started to wear down with holes like some of my other sheets have after lots of washes, I have noticed some loose threading, though the stitching still seems to be intact. I snipped it off and haven't noticed any issues.

Cozy Earth's Bamboo Sheet Set is a worthwhile investment for anyone searching for low-maintenance, temperature-regulating sheets that feel luxuriously soft. If you have a deep-pocket mattress or mattress topper stacked on top and need sheets that will easily fit, this is an excellent set for that.

For how good these feel, both from a cooling and softness perspective, they are an absolute treat to sleep in. The fact that they don't pill or break down wash after wash also speaks to the quality, and hence, the hefty price. Unlike other high-end sheets that offer a cooling component, these don't require a gentle wash cycle or special detergent, so you can throw them in with other sheets. The easy-to-care-for material is an added perk that also helps to justify the cost.

This sheet set is available to shop at Cozy Earth ($311, originally $389) and Amazon ($295, originally $369). The prices included are for a queen-size sheet set.
