Expert to appraise quilts at show

Aug 25, 2023Aug 25, 2023

Alice McElwain will be available to appraise quilts at the Autumn in the Ozarks Quilt Show presented by Hill ‘N Hollow Quilters Guild on Oct. 13 and 14 in the Educational Building at the Baxter County Fairgrounds. Each appraisal costs $50 and can be used for insurance replacement value, fair market value, or for donation or estate purposes.

A consultation is also offered for $20 per quilt. No written appraisal is given, only a consultation regarding the item, answering questions such as: should it be appraised; does it have value; how do I care for it. No dollar value will be given with this consultation.

McElwain is an American Quilters Society certified quilt appraiser and is a member of the Professional Association of Appraisers of Quilted Textiles.

For an appointment contact Elaine Byng at 870-431-8581 or [email protected].
